Trio Of Robberies Reported At Old Orchard: Blotter
Morton Grove man accused of using illegal tracking device; Evanston man charged with battering cop at furniture store: Skokie Police Blotter

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. An arrest is not evidence of guilt, and criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
INCIDENTS
CHECK SCAM
Someone stole a personal check from a mailbox in the 9400 block of Laverge Avenue and some point between Dec. 1 and Dec. 22. The thief changed the name and amount on the check and cashed it.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone used a hammer to break a television in the 8100 block of Keating Avenue around 8 p.m. on Jan. 1. The TV's owner did not wish to press charges.

VEHICULAR INVASION
Someone went into an occupied car near the 3300 block of Golf Road with plans to commit a felony shortly before 3 p.m. on Jan. 2.
BURGLARY
Someone burglarized a garage in the 9300 block of Lawler Avenue around 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 3. It was not clear what, if anything, was stolen.

ROBBERIES
- Someone took money out of a friend's pocket in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue around 1:45 p.m. on Jan. 1, police were told. The friend did not wish to press charges.
- A strongarm robbery took place around 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 2 somewhere in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center.
- Someone used force to steal a purse from a person at Old Orchard shopping center around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 2. Police believe the same suspects may be involved in both incidents that day.
- Around 2 p.m. on Jan. 7, a strongarm robber grabbed a purse from a woman at Old Orchard shopping center.
STOLEN CARS
- A resident in the 8300 block of Lowell Avenue reported that someone used their car without authorization during the night of Dec. 25 and early morning hours of Dec. 26.
- Someone stole a car in the 4700 block of Washington Street between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 1.
- Police said two people suspected of possession of a stolen vehicle were arrested around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 1. One was also charged with burglary.
- Shortly before 8 p.m. on Jan. 1, two people stole a car that had been left unlocked with its engine running in the 4500 block of Oakton Street.
HIT-AND-RUNS
- Someone struck a parked car in the 8900 block of Laverge Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 23 and 7 a.m. Dec. 24.
- Around 12:15 p.m. on Dec. 25, someone struck a parked car in the 9300 block of Lawler Avenue and fled the scene.
- Someone struck a car in the 5400 block of Touhy Avenue between 4:10 and 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 26 and fled the scene.
- A hit-and-run with an injury was reported in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 26.
- A hit-and-run occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 27 in the 5300 block of Church Street.
- A motorist struck another car in traffic in the 3200 block of Dempster Street around 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 29 and fled the scene.
- On Dec. 30, a hit-and-run driver damaged a vehicle in the 3300 block of Touhy Avenue between 6 and 7 p.m.
- An older male driver struck a car in the 4000 block of Dempster Street around 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 6 and fled the scene without providing any information.
- A hit-and-run driver struck a car in the 5500 block of Touhy Avenue around 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 6 and drove away.
- Around 7 p.m. on Jan. 6, a person's car was struck by a hit-and-run driver in the 5200 block of Old Orchard Road.
- Someone stuck a parked car in the 9600 block of Keystone Avenue between midnight on Jan. 5 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 7.

ARRESTS
Jerome T. Graham, 35, of the 4200 block of Oakton Street, Skokie, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 at the Walmart store at 3626 Touhy Ave. and charged with resisting arrest and retail theft.
Juan P. Salazar-Hernandez, 21, of the 4300 block of North Austin Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 25 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop in the 8800 block of Gross Point Road.
Minwood An Jun, 26, of the 8800 block of Dee Road, Des Plaines, was arrested around 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 27 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater after a traffic stop in the 4800 block of Dempster Street.
Heberto M. Gutierrez, 19, of the 3000 block of West Howard Street, Chicago, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 28 in the 6700 block of McCormick Boulevard and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of unsecured cannabis in a motor vehicle.
Kalil Q. Austin, 23, of the first lock of East 69th Street, Chicago, was arrested around 5 p.m. on Dec. 29 in the 4400 block of Church Street and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a gun without a firearm owners identification card.
Matthew J. Meyer, 27, of the 200 block of Custer Avenue, Evanston, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 30 and charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and retail theft in or around a furniture store in the 4800 block of Golf Road.
Jaime M. Monreal, 27, of the 8900 block of Meade Avenue, Morton Grove, was arrested around noon on Dec. 31 at his home and charged with illegally attaching an electronic tracking device to someone's vehicle without their permission.
Marlon P. Amadio, 39, of the 4200 block of North St. Louis Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 1 in the 8300 block of Ridgeway Avenue on an active in-state arrest warrant.
Barry Hill, 58, of the 2100 block of Emerson Street, Evanston, was arrested around 10:15 a.m. Jan. 3 and charged with criminal trespassing at Old Orchard Shopping Center.
Donna J. Wynne, 55, of the 8000 block of Parkside Avenue, Morton Grove, was arrested around 2:45 p.m.. on Jan. 3 in the 7000 block of Carpenter Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Raymond J. Lackey, 26, of the 1800 block of Dobson Street, Evanston, was arrested around 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 4 and charged with leaving the scene of a crash and failure to give information after striking an unattended car in the 4900 block of Dobson Street and fleeing around 4:15 a.m.
Isaiah T. Edwards, 23, of the 7500 block of North Ridge Boulevard, Chicago, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 4 and charged with criminal damage to property at the Walmart store at 3626 Touhy Ave.
Kamila J. Lis, 26, of the 500 block of West Huntington Commons, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 11 p.m. on Jan. 4 in the 8800 block of Lacrosse Avenue and charged with car burglary and possession of stolen property.
Tiffany Eli, 25, of the 3700 block of Austin Avenue, Chicago, was arrested by around 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 7 charged with residential burglary in the 3000 block of Mannheim Road, Des Plaines. Skokie police assisted the Chicago Police Department with the arrest.
Jason G. Graham, 36, of the 4800 block of 36th Avenue, Milwaukee, was arrested around 10 p.m. on Jan. 7 in the 5300 block of Oakton Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Cloyd M. Harris, 44, of the 2400 block of Park Place, Evanston, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 in the 4000 block of Oakton Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater.
