Tuesday Blotter: Christmas Lights Stolen

Attempted burglary

Police responded to a burglary complaint in the 8900 block of Kilpatrick Avenue on Dec. 1. According to the report, the suspect(s) broke a glass piece to the back door and attempted to gain entry. No items were reported missing, however.

A fence in the 3800 block of Jerome Avenue was reported stolen on Dec. 2.

A man came into the Skokie police station to report that he’s been receiving threatening messages from someone known to him on Dec. 3.

Keyed car

A man reported his car “keyed” as it sat parked in the 10000 block of Frontage Road on Dec. 3.

Wedding ring stolen

A man reported his wedding and graduation ring stolen from his locker at Liftetime Fitness on Dec. 2.

Stolen Christmas lights

A man reported his Christmas lights stolen from his bushes in the 9100 block of Kildare on Dec. 3.

Heroin bust

Michael J. Baldwin, 27, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 3. Baldwin was stopped near the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Golf Road on Dec. 3. Officers found about a gram of heroin in Baldwin’s vehicle, as well as a syringe and burnt spoon, the report stated.
