2 La Grange Youths Arrested In Western Springs: Cops

Suspects were believed to have struck the victim several times, report says.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Two 16-year-old La Grange boys were arrested last week in Western Springs in connection with an attack on another boy the previous week, according to a police report.

The boys were charged with battery and mob action.

According to the report, a boy was attacked by three other boys about 2 p.m. May 14 in the 4700 block of Gilbert Avenue. The victim was struck in the face and the head several times, police said.

Under Illinois law, mob action is when two or more people get together for the purpose of committing violence.
