Annual Gathering On The Green Planned In Western Springs

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Business Association will be holding its 24th annual Gathering on the Green family event on Friday, June 8. The annual event takes place at the Tower Green in downtown Western Springs from 5 to 10 p.m.

The family event has activities for every age, including pony rides, a petting zoo, laser tag, climbing wall, face painting and more. Food, beverages, live music and entertainment will also all be at the event.

This year, the Western Springs Business Association has planned local food and restaurant booths including Salty Fig Kitchen + Pantry, Kirschbaums, Tropical Snow, Salerno's and more. There will also be a beer garden tent this year, according to the association.

Entertainment line-up includes Frankie Ace, Trinity Irish Dancers, musicians from the School of Rock, and the Bono Bros Band. The association said activity wristbands for kids to participate in unlimited activity venues will be sold for $10 for kids over 3 years of age and $5 for kid 3 years and younger.
