Bloomingbank Road in Riverside to Close for Independence Day Celebrations
Burling Road will be converted Friday and Saturday from one-way eastbound to two-way traffic.

Bloomingbank Road will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at noon Friday, July 3, and will remain closed through 3 p.m. Saturday, July 4.

Drivers should use caution and allow extra time for travel through downtown Riverside due to Independence Day festivities on July 3 and 4. Expect heavy pedestrian and bicycle traffic all weekend. Additional road closures will be in place on the morning of July 4 during the 5K run and Parade.
Village of Riverside and Township offices will be closed on July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The Village Board of Trustees and village staff wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend. Please see complete event details and map below.

Independence Day in Riverside
Concert in the Park - Friday, July 3 from 6 - 10 p.m. Libido Funk Circus will perform in Guthrie Park. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Independence Day 5K Run - Saturday, July 4 on Village streets. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Historic Water Tower in Downtown Riverside and runners will continue up Longcommon, to Akenside, Northwood, Northgate, Selborne, Parkway, back to Selborne and finally back down Longcommon to the finish line at the Historic Water Tower. Road closures will be in place.
Independence Day Parade and Festival - Saturday, July 4 on Longcommon Road and in Guthrie Park. The parade kicks off from the intersection of Longcommon & Delaplaine at 8:45 a.m. and travels south down Longcommon to Guthrie Park. A festival with food and music will be held in Guthrie Park following the parade until 1:00 p.m.
