Comedy Show At Western Springs Theater
WGN sportscaster Pat Tomasulo doubles as a stand-up comedian. His show is planned for next month.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Pat Tomasulo, WGN’s morning sportscaster, will perform as a comedian at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Theatre of Western Springs, 4384 Hampton Ave. Because of Tomasulo’s popularity, a second show has been added at 10 p.m., according to a news release. Due to mature language, parental discretion is advised, the theater said.
“I am a television personality, stand-up comic, writer and producer based out of Chicago,” Tomasulo wrote on his website. “Those are a lot of labels, which suggests either A) I am a prodigious talent, or B) I’m not really excellent at any of those things. I really have no idea at this point.”
A sports anchor and reporter, Pat Tomasulo joined WGN-TV in 2005. He is one of the main hosts on WGN Morning News, creating segments like “The Pat-Down” and “The Voice of Reason.” He’s also a standup comedian, performing in shows across the country.
