Cubs World Series Trophy Will Make a Stop in Western Springs This Weekend

The trophy will be on display for photo opportunities from 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday.

For just an hour and a half this Saturday, visitors and residents of Western Springs will be able to see a piece of history.

The Cubs World Series trophy will be making a stop at the Western Springs Recreation Center at 1500 Walker St. on Jan. 21 as a part of its Cubs Trophy Tour this year. Appearances are scheduled through April.

From 4:30-6 p.m., fans will be able to take photos with the trophy, according to the schedule. Some fans have tweeted about waiting up to two and a half hours for a snapshot with the prize, so you might want to get in line early.

"We're excited to share our cherished trophy with fans this offseason as we celebrate such a historic World Series Championship," Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts told the Pioneer Press. "We can't wait for our fans to experience the joy of seeing this piece of history in person."
