Emil Harley, 91, died peacefully Saturday, March 14th in La Quinta, CA.
A long-time resident of Western Springs, Illinos, he was born Aug. 23, 1923.
He was a graduate of LTHS, Class of 1941, and a member of the 2nd Raider Battalion, Marine Corp.

In 1972, Emil Harley founded “Bannerville USA” which introduced a street pole banner advertising program to the country, originally focused on Chicago special events, museum exhibitions, and sports team celebrations, but quickly expanded throughout the US.
Emil is survived by Wilma Harley, his wife of 64 years; one sister, Jean Millard (Bud), three daughters; Pat Sitkowski (Ken), Joni Wilson (David), Jean Stocks (Rick); eight grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
