About Theatre of Western Springs
The Theatre of Western Springs (TWS) is celebrating 92 years of continuous operation. One of just a handful of American theatres that did not close during one or both World Wars, TWS constructed its own building that today is mortgage-free and houses a 400-seat Mainstage auditorium and a 100-seat black box theatre. TWS was founded in 1929 by Mary Cattell. Her unique methods continue to this day.
