Kirschbaum's Bakery Participates In Sweetest Bakery Contest

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Kirschbaum's Bakery is in the running for the Sweetest Bakery In America Contest. Dawn Foods is sponsoring the contest, and voting opened March 1 and will run through July 31.

The winner gets prizes and will be announced on Sept. 14, which is National Bakery Day.

According to the bakery, there's a national winner, second place and third place, then also a winner from each state. Fans can vote in store with a paper ballot once per day and online once per day per device.

"I think my favorite part about this whole thing is seeing the support we've been getting from our customers," Eva Kirschbaum said. "They are just as excited about the competition as we are. A lot of people who are posting their memories from their childhood and it really just shows the impact that our family bakery has on others."
