La Grange Endless Summer Fest inserts humans into a table game
Three day celebration will include human foosball, not just two people moving the bars.

New this year to La Grange’s Endless Summerfest will be a human foosball field with men and women occupying the spots usually occupied by figures moved by bars on a table game, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune.
Sponsored by the La Grange Park District and the La Grange Business Association, the annual event of carnival rides and games, music, food and drink will be held July 31, August 1 and August 2 at Gordon Park, according to the Summerfest website.

“We were looking for something really fun with lots of community engagement,” Janet Kennedy, development associate with the La Grange Memorial Hospital Foundation, said in the Tribune. “We just launched the sign-up 10 days ago, and now there’s a real buzz. Some teams have signed up, and we’re expecting more next week.”
There will be much more than human foosball, according to the website. From 4 to 10:30 p.m. July 31, there will be rides, food, drink and music. Big Wheel performs at 6 p.m. and 16 Candles at 8:30. Admission for people over 12 is $3 after 5 p.m.

On August 1, the fun starts at noon with the $3 admission beginning at 5. Three bands will perform—Kickin’ Jimmy at 3 p.m., Jin & Tonic at 5:30 and Hi Infidelity at 8—and there will be a community business expo from 2 to 7 p.m.
There is no admission fee August 2 with more live music starting with Serendipity at 5 p.m. and 7th Heaven at 7:30 p.m. The three-day event concludes with fireworks at dark August 2.
There is a charge for all carnival rides.
