Caldeira connection with Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation began 15 years ago, when Bear Necessities partnered with the Tower Trot. Through the partnership, the foundation raises funds through donations and sponsors and provides the needed volunteers and support for the race. The Western Springs Recreation Department continues to benefit through race entry fees.
