LT Alum Jake Elliott Wins Super Bowl With Philadelphia Eagles
Elliott made three field goals in Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — In his rookie season, Jake Elliott set the record for longest kick ever made for the Philadelphia Eagles, and now he can add Super Bowl champion to his list of accolades. Elliott, a Lyons Township High School alumnus and Western Springs native, made three field goals in Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots.
The Eagles were able to clinch their first Super Bowl win with the help of 23-year-old Elliott, who despite missing an extra point in the first quarter, was able to make a crucial field goal later in the game. In Sunday's game, Elliott also set the NFL record for longest field goal by a rookie in a Super Bowl with his 46-yard kick.
Patch reported last month about Elliott's rookie season, in which he connected on more than 80 percent of his field goal attempts and also contributed in the NFC Championship game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Elliott didn't start playing organized football until his junior year at Lyons Township, and he also played football for the University of Memphis in Tennessee. Elliott signed with the Eagles earlier this season after Caleb Sturgis was injured in week 1.
