Patrick Page was presented with a Teacher of the Year award by the Western Springs VFW Post 10778

Lyons Township High School art teacher and unofficial district historian Patrick Page was presented with a Teacher of the Year award by the Western Springs VFW Post 10778. Education Committee Chairman Bruce Harkin (second from left) said, “The post thanks you for your outstanding service in the arts, your efforts to chronicle the history of the district and your work helping pull together the new Wall of Honor to remember our veterans.” Post Board members Peter Zika (far right) and Seedy Ulrich LT Class of ’44 (far left) echoed congratulations. LTHS Superintendent Dr. Timothy Kilrea noted that Page has a remarkable rapport with students. “He inspires creativity and encourages students to see different perspectives. Outside of the classroom, he has volunteered countless hours researching the history of LT and has generously shared his findings with our staff, community and alumni.”

Page began at LT in 2000. He earned two master’s degrees, one from Ball State in Studio Art and another from the Art Institute of Chicago in Art History. His undergrad is from Ball State in Visual Arts.
