LTHS business students qualify for Nationals
Four members of LT's BPA Club qualified to compete at the national level

Congratulations are in order for members of the Lyons Township High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) Club. Students recently competed in statewide contests and four members qualified to compete at the national level in five different categories.
There was one multiple winner – sophomore Daniel Kiely, of Western Springs, qualified for nationals in both Advanced Spreadsheet Applications and Intermediate Word Processing.
The BPA national competitions will be held this May in Anaheim, CA. The students are led and coached by Global Studies teachers Krista Wilcox and Jennifer Walker.

Business Professionals of America is a national organization for high school and college students preparing for careers in business and office administration. The organization’s activities and program complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience through application of skills learned at school. BPA contributes to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.
