LT's Coffee Shop Opens In Western Springs
LT's Coffee Shop, Transition Perks, is open every day school is in session.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Lyons Township High School's coffee shop is now open for business. Transition Perks, located at 1062 Hillgrove Ave., is for transition students ages 18-22. According to the school newsletter, the students learn skills for the everyday demands of independent adult living.
The coffee show allows an authentic setting where students can practice vocational skills, social interactions, money, inventory and marketing; all skills that can be used when they apply for paying jobs.
The shop is open 7:45 to 10:30 a.m. every day school is in session.
