Man Arrested In Western Springs Shooting: Police

Teen fired shots at another driver on Ogden Avenue, police say.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A man who is accused of shooting from his car at another vehicle in Western Springs in December was arrested Monday, police said.

Garion J. Clay, 18, of Chicago, was charged with felony discharge of a firearm. A Cook County judge set his bond at $25,000.

Late the afternoon of Dec. 23, two speeding cars exited Interstate 294 and proceeded east on Ogden Avenue, according to a Western Springs police news release. Witnesses told police that the driver of a black sedan got out of his car on Ogden just east of Hampton Avenue and fired shots toward the other car, a silver Infiniti sedan.

During an investigation, the black sedan was identified as a 2006 Audi S4 registered to Clay, police said. The car was seized Jan. 13, with investigators later confirming Clay's role in the shooting, the news release said.
