News Nearby: 18-Year-Old Hinsdale South Grad Shot Dead in Willowbrook
Joshua Holmes was killed in a drive-by shooting at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the Hinsdale Lake Terrace apartment complex.
An 18-year-old man was shot and killed near the intersection of Honeysuckle Rose Lane and Lilac Lane in unincorporated Willowbrook at approximately 6:35 p.m. on Monday evening.
Joshua Holmes, a graduate of Hinsdale South High School, was pronounced dead at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital shortly afterwards, the cause of death being multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, witnesses saw a white four-door vehicle drive into the intersection, and a passenger pull out a gun and fire several shots at Holmes.
