Adult Summer Reading 2019

Which did you like better, the book or the movie? Some screenplays do justice to the original book; some are disappointing. And occasionally a mediocre book makes a fabulous film or TV show! If you've seen it on the screen and have always wondered how the book was, or vice versa, now's the time to check it out with the Library's Adult Summer Reading Program, Page to Screen!

Simply check out 6 books, eBooks, audio books, or movies and record them with the Library to receive drawing tickets for some great prizes! You can read whatever you like, and if you choose at least one theme-related item you will receive a bonus drawing ticket!

Here’s how to earn tickets:

  • Log each book you read, and you will receive 1 raffle entry for each item. Book-related films or TV shows count too! Even if you are not able to finish 6 items, you will still be entered in the drawing.
  • If you are logging your books online, you do not need to pick up a paper book log or visit us in-person for raffle tickets.
  • Hit the 6-item goal to receive a bonus ticket and become eligible for a completion prize. The first 100 patrons who reach this goal will receive a coupon and treats for enjoying a movie night at home.

The next drawing will be on July 22. All tickets submitted by Sunday, August 18 will be entered in the final drawing. Prizes include a Roku Streaming Stick as well as gift certificates from Vistro, Daydream Coffee, Yoga by Degrees, Clever Girl, and more!
