Pick Up a Free Pumpkin Saturday at the Tower Green

Western Springs residents are invited to pick up a free pumpkin at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 26 at the Tower Green.

The pumpkins can be decorated with paint, pipe cleaners, props, hats and more to enter the Fall Festival pumpkin decorating contest, just don’t cut the pumpkin, according to the village.

Many entries will be displayed in local stores after the Fall Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Tower Green.

Both group and individual entries are welcome. Other festival attractions include scary stories, hayrides, an opportunity to decorate a mini-pumpkin, Casey’s famous chili and more.
