Poodle Owner Cited In Dog Bite Incident: Western Springs Cops

In another case, the front windows of a local house were broken, police say.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department released its latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:

  • A Brussels griffon dog was bitten by a poodle belonging to a neighbor Monday in the 4300 block of Central Avenue. The first dog was taken to the vet because of an injury. The owner of the poodle was issued a ticket for the biting dog.
  • The front windows of a house were damaged on the night of Feb. 19 in the 3900 block of Lawn Avenue.
  • Jose I. Salazar, 38, of Aurora, was arrested March 1 on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was stopped about 8 p.m. at Ogden and Hampton avenues.
  • Wendell B. Carter, 29, of Matteson, was arrested Monday on charges of driving with a revoked license and improper display of registration plates. He was stopped about 12:30 p.m. at Ogden Avenue and Wolf Road.
