Recycle Holiday Lights In Western Springs

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Instead of throwing away broken holiday lights, you can recycle them in at Western Springs Village Hall. The village said the Green Team of First Congregational Church has placed a collection box inside village hall for broken holiday lights. You can bring in your light strands for recycling until Jan. 15.

If you're concerned about how to get rid of your live Christmas tree, Western Springs has that covered too. Christmas tree collection will take place during the first two weeks of January by refuse services. Trees must not have tinsel or ornaments, and should not be placed in bags.
