Roadwork Kickoff This Week Will Disrupt Parking, Traffic in Western Springs
Construction crews will be rerouting traffic, when necessary, and asking some residents to move their cars to overnight street parking.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - Residents should expect traffic and parking disruptions this week with the official kickoff of the village's 2017 Roadway Program.
Dry conditions permitting, contractors will get to work at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, officials said, noting that inclement weather would simply push the project to the next clear day.
Construction will begin on the east lane of Harvey Avenue, from 41st to 39th streets.

"All residents on the east side of Harvey Avenue should have vehicles out of their driveways and parked on the surrounding streets that have been designated for overnight parking," said a community alert.
- A map of affect streets can be referenced on the 2017 Roadway Program page.
Crews will thereafter move to Howard Avenue between 47th and 48th streets. Local officials said they'll send surrounding residents a notification at least 24 hours prior to construction, but it's expected to start next week.
