Home-based business owners can find out what all the buzz is about with a free trial week of coworking at Suite Spotte in downtown La Grange during Rush Week, Sept. 21-25.
Suite Spotte Coworking and the La Grange Business Association have teamed up to encourage business owners who work out of their home offices to come out and meet other solopreneurs within the local area.

“There is a common misconception that coworking is just for the 20-something techie. Not so! Suite Spotte members are mostly 30 or 40-something parents with business expertise that encompass a variety of skills, experience, and industries,” explained Sue Reardon, Co-Founder of Suite Spotte, the first coworking space to open in the near west suburbs last December.
La Grange resident, Mike Bash, joined Suite Spotte because he was going through a major change in his career. At his prior position, he worked in an office in downtown Chicago with a team of people who he interacted with numerous times each day. His new role has him working remotely for a Silicon Valley-based start-up, Eversight.

“While I have a space in my home that could act as my office, it felt cramped and full of distractions, especially with preschool-aged children at home,” Bash said. “I really had two major needs that Suite Spotte resolved for me – a place to work with others, get energy, enjoy human interaction, and receive support; and a motivating environment with the flexibility to choose a quiet, focused space or an open, lively environment. The fact that Suite Spotte is located in La Grange, walkable from my home, sealed the deal for me. It’s a great value, an amazing environment, and a place I enjoy going to work every day.”
Surveys tracking the coworking movement since it began 10 years ago report that coworkers are significantly happier, much more productive, and consistently earn greater income. Many find that by coworking even just a couple of days a week away from their home office makes a big difference in their productivity and their attitude. Suite Spotte offers flexible plans that make this possible and affordable.
Not only will free coworking be offered during Rush Week, but daily activities featuring local businesses sharing expertise, demos, and lots of serendipitous encounters among Rush Week participants will be on hand. The LGBA is also offering a 25 percent special membership incentive for first-timers who sign up through October 31st.
