Teens Arrested For Mob Action, Battery at LTHS South: Police
Four of the boys are from Countryside, and one is from Brookfield.
Five teenagers were arrested last week outside of Lyons Township High School’s South campus in Western Springs for crimes ranging from trespassing to mob activity.
Oct. 24, a 15-year-old was charged with battery after a fight outside of the school got physical. Police arrived around 3:15 p.m. to find that one of the boys had been minorly injured.
Stemming from the fight were three more arrests — a 14-year-old, 15-year-old and 16-year-old were all charged with both similar battery charges plus individual charges of mob action. All four children who were arrested are from Countryside.

The next day, Oct. 25, a 15-year-old boy from Brookfield was arrested in an unrelated trespassing incident at the school. He had illegally entered the parking lot of the school property, which is located at 4900 Willow Springs Rd. in Western Springs. He was arrested around 3:25 p.m.
