Veterans Day 2016: What's Open, What's Closed in Western Springs
Know what's what before you make your plan for the day.
This year, Veterans Day kicks off the weekend on Friday, Nov. 11. Make sure you schedule your errands around the following local closures:
- Post Office: Closed
- Federal Offices: Closed
- Cook County offices, including the circuit clerk’s office, courts and more will be closed on Veterans Day.
- School District 101: Schools are open
- School District 105: Schools are open
- School District 206: Schools are closed
- School District 204: Schools are open
- Banks: Most are closed. Call your bank before stopping in.
- Area restaurants and stores: Most should be open. And several restaurants will be offering special deals for veterans. Here is a full list from WGN TV on restaurants providing offers and discounts for veterans.
