Vodka Theft, Bike Stolen: Western Springs Cops
A man stole a case of vodka, among other items, from a grocery store, police say.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department released its later blotter. Here is information from the reports:
- A man left Mariano's grocery store, 4700 Gilbert Ave., without paying for items in his cart about 7:30 p.m. March 7. The man then drove away after loading the items into his car. The items included a case of vodka, valued at more than $250.
- A man told police that his son's bicycle was stolen between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. March 6 when it was left in the bike rack in front of Elite Fitness, 805 Burlington Ave.
- Aldo D. Mora, 20, of Chicago, was cited about 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Ogden and Howard avenues on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding.
- Dezirae B. LaGrassa, 31, of Burbank, was cited about 5 p.m. Thursday at Ogden and Grove avenues on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and improperly using a phone while driving.
Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
