Western Springs Man Accused Of DUI After Crash: Cops

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A Western Springs man was arrested on a DUI charge after he got into an accident last week, police said.

Greg L. Wallenbecker, 52, of Western Springs, was arrested shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

According to a police report, Wallenbecker was involved in a car accident in the 5000 block of Central Avenue, where his car hit a parked vehicle. He was released on bond.

Wallenbecker is a certified public accountant.
