Western Springs Man Charged In DUI Crash: Cops
Police receive a report of a reckless driver who struck a parked car, report says.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
- Nicolas A. Sagastume, 25, of Western Springs, was arrested about 8 a.m. Thursday in the 4800 block of Woodland Avenue on charges of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to report an accident to police. He was released on bond. According to a report, police were alerted to a reckless driver who struck a parked, unoccupied car. Sagastume was detained after illegally parking his car on 55th Street, the report said.
- A boy was attacked by three other boys about 2 p.m. Friday in the 4700 block of Gilbert Avenue. The victim was struck in the face and the head several times. The crime was listed as a mob action.
- Jesus B. Perez, 18, of Chicago, was cited about 5 p.m. May 11 at Ogden and Forest avenues on charges of no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. He was released on bond.
- Damage was reported to a water fountain on the east wall of the women's restroom facility at Spring Rock Park, 4400 Central Ave. The damage was reported May 9. The fountain is valued at $1,350.
- A resident in the 5200 block of Central Avenue told police Friday about fraudulent charges of more than $3,500 to her checking account.
