Western Springs Store Manager Arrested: Police
Manager is accused of completing fraudulent returns, report says.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department released its latest blotter. Here is information from the police reports:
- Gerard Perzyna, 64, of Brookfield, was arrested Friday at Tuesday Morning home goods store, 4700 Gilbert Ave., on a charge of theft under $500. According to a police report, Perzyna, a store manager, was accused of completing fraudulent returns from cash purchases and keeping the cash. According to his LinkedIn page, Perzyna had been an employee at the store since 2011.
- Daniel M. Knowa, 24, of Chicago, was arrested Feb. 9 on a charge of burglary. He was charged in connection with a November burglary in the 3900 block of Grand Avenue, police said.
- Cristian Osorio, 22, of Chicago, was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 4300 block of Wolf Road on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license and improper lane usage. He was arrested after he struck a tree with his car, according to a police report.
- Walgreens, 4700 Gilbert Ave., reported two women stole $250 worth of cosmetic products from the store about 6 p.m. Feb. 7.
