Western Springs Students Chosen As Changemakers

Program is designed to train the next generation of philanthropists.

LA GRANGE PARK — Fifteen juniors and seniors from La Grange Park-based Nazareth Academy have been chosen for the second annual Young Community Changemakers program, known as YC2. It is a leadership development program designed to educate and empower students to become the next generation of philanthropists and is sponsored by the Community Memorial Foundation and the Burjan Family.

"As we reflect on this year's school theme — Widening Our Lens.. That All May Be One — we know that the experiences our students will have through YC2 will equip them with important skills like empathy, compassion and civic responsibility," Principal Therese Hawkins said.
