Young Pianists Perform in Honors Recital

54th Annual Piano Festival Honors Recital

Friends and family cheered as sixteen piano students from the Western Suburbs performed at the 54th Piano Festival Honors Recital sponsored by the Western Springs Music Club at the First Presbyterian Church of La Grange on Sunday, February 10.


The young pianists included: Dominic Munaretto, Giancarlo Munaretto, Lexi Connerty, Kate Ferrell, Mira Dedhia, and Marisa Lin (Western Springs); Cooper Dunlap, Luke Malay, Natalie Vlcek, Meghan Sarros, and Valerie Sarros (LaGrange); Reed Dickman and Kate Dickman (La Grange Park); Veronica Mool, David Zimmerman (Clarendon Hills); and Solveig Nelson (Sleepy Hollow).

The students were pupils of the following teachers: Juliya Mangutov, Gretchen Munaretto, Patti Nyien, John Regain, Junichi Steven Sato, Holly Veverka, and Linda Winfield.

Kate Dickman of La Grange won 1st Place in the Parello-Veverka Senior Scholarship Competition. And Natalie Vlcek of La Grange Park won 1st Place in the Junior Scholarship Competition.
