Why are you running?
It has been my honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Ward 1 of Yorkville as their Alderman for the past 5 years. I remain dedicated to bring my in-depth knowledge, experience, proven leadership and passion to this position. I am seeking re-election to continue working with our City government in order to ensure that our resident's voices and concerns are represented and addressed.

What do you hope to accomplish in office?
I aim to maintain the successes accomplished in my 1st term by focusing on responsible finances, tax reduction and dramatic growth in the residential, commercial, & industrial sectors.
How would you hold local government employees accountable?
By putting qualified staff in positions to operate our city and ensure that all decision making is transparent to the citizens.
Explain your attitudes toward fiscal policy, government spending and how taxpayer dollars should be handled by your office (or board)?
Fiscal responsibility is the most important foundation to minimize waste in government spending. Taxpayer dollars should be treated with the utmost care and every dollar should be accounted for.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
$25,000 Taxpayer Savings by not taking City Benefits! – My Personal Choice. Voted to end this benefit.
Accomplished City Tax Reduction Plan: City Property Tax Reduction 8.2% compared to the promised 6%.
Property Tax Reduction Numbers:
2013=2%, 2014=3%, 2015=1.6%, 2016=1.6%
Fiscally Responsible Budgeting: A Conservative Approach to Finances has led to the City’s Bond Rating to be upgraded twice allowing bond refinancing and Thousands in Savings! “AA Rating”
Award winning Financial Audits for all 4 previous City budget cycles.
What else would you like voters to know about you and your positions?
I believe that when everyone rolls up their sleeves, works for the common good, and considers all points of view, then and only then is when our residents get the government they deserve.
