Man Missing From Yorkville Described As 'Drifter': Police

Police said Erik Jendrzejczyk went missing the morning of Aug. 11 from a family home in Yorkville.

YORKVILLE, IL — The Yorkville Police Department's Investigative Team hasn't stopped working in the ongoing search for Erik Jendrzejczyk, 26, who was reported missing from a family member's Yorkville home last month. According to police, Erik was described as a drifter, who went missing between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Aug. 11. He had been staying with his sister in Yorkville during the 7-10 days before he went missing, police added.

According to police, Erik didn't leave a note or any indication where he'd gone, and his family has had no contact with him.

Police said they've used K-9 crews and boats during searches, and are monitoring social media platforms in what they describe as a "very difficult" case type. Police added that they talk with the family almost daily, have done several interviews with family, friends, contacts, and everyone they're aware of while following up on all leads.
