Report Of Gunshots In Yorkville Leads To Warrant Arrest

Yorkville police learned a resident had a failure to appear warrant out of the Aurora Police Department for accusations of domestic battery.

The Yorkville Police Department ​is investigating after gunshots were reported Wednesday night outside a home in the 100 block of Willougbhy Court, where they found a resident who had a warrant out for his arrest in Aurora.

YORKVILLE, IL — The Yorkville Police Department is investigating after gunshots were reported Wednesday night outside a home in the 100 block of Willougbhy Court. According to a news release from the police department, officers went to the Willougbhy Court address at 9:45 p.m. regarding a disturbance with possible shots fired, and found spent 9 mm shell casings outside the home. Police learned that a resident, 28-year-old Nathan Rodriguez, had a failure to appear warrant out of the Aurora Police Department for accusations of domestic battery, according to the news release.

Police arrested Rodriguez and took him to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office for booking, and he's also facing charges stemming from accusations of obstructing and resisting a peace office.
