Yorkville Crash Victim Airlifted To Hospital: Police
This accident's location was near the same intersection as Saturday night's fatal crash.
YORKVILLE, IL — A Monday morning car crash landed one person in the hospital. Yorkville police responded to the scene at Route 47 and Galena Road around 7:30. One person needed extrication from the Bristol Kendall Fire Department and medics, according to a memo from the Yorkville Police Department. The subject was airlifted to Good Samaritan in Downers Grove. A second person involved was not hurt. Names have not been released yet.
Illinois State Police reconstructed the crash, which caused a partial road closure in the area until about 12:30. The site of this accident was in close proximity to Saturday's fatal crash, which also occurred on Route 47, north of Galena Road.
