Yorkville Hosts Annual Chili Chase 5K Walk/Run

YORKVILLE, IL — The Chili Chase 5K Run and Walk kicks off Sunday, Nov. 19 at 8:30 a.m. The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department’s event will start at the American Legion Post #489 at 9054 E. Veterans Parkway. Runners and walkers can register ahead of time online until Thursday at 3 p.m. for $25, which includes a T-shirt, or $20 without a T-shirt. Registration can also be done in-person at the Recreation Administration Office at 201 W. Hydraulic Ave. Sunday, the day of the race, participants can register starting at 7:30 a.m. for $35. The race will weave through the Heartland subdivision. Trinity United Methodist Men will provide runners with a hot bowl of chili after the race.
