Adult Store Armed Robbery: Man Steals Cash, Items In Iowa City
Photos of the suspect were captured by store surveillance cameras; a $1,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest.

IOWA CITY, IA — Police are looking for a man who robbed an adult store of cash and merchandise early on Sunday after showing the clerk a weapon. Store surveillance photos of the man were released today.
Iowa City police said the robbery took place shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday at the Romantix store, 315 Kirkwood Ave. They said the suspect was browsing merchandise in the store before he approached the cashier as if he was going to make a purchase. Instead he showed a weapon and demanded money.
He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and store merchandise.

Anyone with information about the person in the photos is asked to call Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers at 319-358-8477 (TIPS) or 319-356-6800. A reward of up to $1,000 has been offered by CrimeStoppers for information leading to an arrest. Individuals providing information do not have to reveal their identity to collect a reward, police said.
