Benton Street Lane Reduction Begins Monday
Weather permitting, beginning Monday, West Benton Street between South Capitol Street and South Riverside Drive will be reduced to one lane.
From the City of Iowa City: Weather permitting, beginning Monday, August 5, 2019, West Benton Street between South Capitol Street and South Riverside Drive will be reduced to one lane of traffic in the west bound direction.
The lane reduction is necessary to facilitate pavement repairs. It is anticipated the work will be completed by Friday, August 16, 2019.
Motorists are to take note of this construction and to seek another route during this time period. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling through all construction areas.
