Community Connection: Iowa City Polar Plunge

Community Connection is a video series that highlights the different people and organizations in our community. Each episode, Mayor Bruce Teague interviews guests about a variety of issues that are important to our residents.

Learn how you can help support Special Olympics Iowa athletes by jumping into frigid waters! The Iowa City Polar Plunge is a signature fundraiser that is happening on May 8, 2021, with COVID-19 safety precautions in place. Event Coordinator Maddie Nelson explains how you can participate by forming a team to take an icy dip in the Coralville Lake or making a financial donation to the cause.
