Juneteenth marks the anniversary of June 19, 1865, when some of the last enslaved people in America were freed from Confederate Texas. Hear from our special guests, Keshia Fields and LaNisha Cassell, about plans to celebrate and commemorate Juneteenth in Johnson County and at the African American Museum of Iowa with a week’s worth of virtual and in-person events. All events are free and open to the public.
