Family Day at Belgum Grove

Join Bur Oak Land Trust for a fun, informational day at Belgum Grove September 18 from 1-3pm

Join Bur Oak Land Trust for a fun, FREE learning event from 1:00 to 3:00 for Family Day at Belgum Grove!

University of Iowa wildlife camps instructors and Lon Drake will be at Bur Oak Land Trust’s Belgum Grove nature preserve for an afternoon of fun and learning. Activities will include story telling by Lon, scavenger hunting and other fun outdoor educational activates. Experience the sights and sounds of Dirty Face creek, learn about different prairie, trees, plants, and find answers to all of your outdoor questions. All youth in attendance take home a new shirt featuring local artwork. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Belgum Grove is 40 acres of former pasture crossed by Dirty Face Creek, with an apple orchard and a small wetland. It was donated by David and Kathy Belgum in 1998, to be used for education, research, and recreation.

Belgum Grove is located 4 miles west of Hills at 3261 500th Street SW(F62), Iowa City.
