I stopped by Iowa City's Sycamore Mall looking for some ideas for the kids this summer and came across Renee's Ceramic Cafe.
The studio offers a variety of paint your own pottery options, material for mosaics, a pottery wheel and birthday parties.
You can paint at the studio and take the piece with you or get it fired and come back for it later. The prices are in the $10 range for many options.
All you need is your imagination, a staff member told me.
