Iowa City Police Investigate Wednesday Shooting
Upon arrival, police found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds.

At approximately 1:58 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021, Iowa City Police responded to the 900 Block of Cross Park Avenue for a report of several gunshots and possible victims struck by gunfire.

Upon arrival, police found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. The two men were transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
At this time, the victims have not cooperated with police, but witnesses reported seeing at least two dark-skinned men running from the area after the shots were fired. Police have not located these individuals, but believe this is not a random event. The incident remains under investigation.

In addition, anyone in that area with security cameras is asked to review their recordings and contact the Iowa City Police Department with any potential footage or information about this incident.
