Joann Eland works by day as a professor of nursing. In her free time, she's a photographer, who captures dramatic images.
She shared 100s of samples of her work with the 1,000s who attended Iowa Arts Festival this weekend.
One particular image captures a sunset in the west view from Old Capitol. Eland said she set up at about 6 p.m. and took 21 shots. She then "smashed" them together into a stunning photograph.Â
