Iowa Police Make Arrest In Recent Shooting Incident
The subsequent investigation identified the shooter as Antonio Jackson of 1112 Hollywood Boulevard.

On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 12:03 p.m., Iowa City Police responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the 1100 Block of Hollywood Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located shell casings and spoke with the adult, male victim and several witnesses to the incident. There were no reported injuries as a result of the gunfire.

The subsequent investigation identified the shooter as Antonio Jackson of 1112 Hollywood Boulevard. According to the victim and witnesses, Jackson approached the victim who was standing in the street, displayed a handgun, and began firing at the victim while chasing him westbound down Hollywood. The victim was able to escape unharmed.
Jackson was taken into custody and charged with Attempted Murder, Going Armed with Intent, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
