Party In The Park Events In Iowa City Suspended Until Further Notice

Whether or not future Party in the Park events will take place will be decided at a later date.

The City has canceled the two Party in the Park events scheduled for June 25 and July 2, 2020.

Following a recent rise in positive COVID-19 cases in Johnson County, and after careful consideration for the health, safety and well-being of our community, the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department decided to cancel the events.

The programs were scheduled for Thursday, June 25, and Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Mercer Park and Terry Trueblood Recreation Area respectively. Whether or not future Party in the Park events will take place will be decided at a later date.

All Iowa City residents should continue to wear a cloth mask or face shield when in public, or when social distancing is not possible.
