The man is facing a serious misdemeanor for the incident.

An Iowa City man is facing a serious misdemeanor after a sibling argument took a turn for the worse on Tuesday night.
According to police records, officers were called to an apartment at 2401 Highway 6E at 6:30 p.m. for the report of a woman who had "been body slammed on the ground and knocked unconscious."Â
There they found Javier Miguel Garcia, 30, and the injured woman, who was revealed to be his sister. Garcia allegedly admitted to throwing his sister to the ground after the two argued when she refused to leave his apartment.
According to the complaint the woman "appeared dazed afterwards" and received a laceration to the back of her head where she had hit the ground. Garcia was charged with assault causing serious injury for the incident and remains in the Johnson County Jail after being booked there last night.
