Police Serve Warrants To Multiple Residences For Recent Shooting Incidents In Iowa City
The warrants were served without incident; this is an on-going and active investigation.

On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at approximately 9 a.m., the Iowa City Police Department, with the assistance of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Coralville Police Department, and the Sixth Judicial District Department of Corrections, served search warrants at two Iowa City residences and one Coralville residence.

The warrants were served in connection to recent shooting incidents in Iowa City. Due to the high-risk nature of warrants involving firearms, the Iowa City Metro Special Response Team and the Johnson County Special Emergency Response Team served the three warrants at the following addresses:
- 2162 Davis Street, Iowa City, IA
- 1840 South Gilbert Street , Iowa City, IA
- 715 ½ 10th Avenue, Coralville, IA
The warrants were served without incident; this is an on-going and active investigation. No further information regarding potential criminal charges or items seized will be released at this time.
