On Thursday the Senate voted almost unanimously to pass a bill that would slap Russia with new sanctions and prevent any attempt by Trump to roll them back. The very next day Trump effectively gave Cuba to Putin as a make-up gift for those sanctions not going the way they planned during the campaign.
It was Donald’s birthday last week, but Russia’s party as Trump backed out of Cuba once again paving the way for another Cuban missile crises. Cuba was already about to receive its first major Russian oil shipment this century, and Moscow has pledged a $2 billion investment in the Cuban railroad which will come in handy in the future for moving troops and weapons.
